Automatic Hyperlinking

IDOL allows manual and fully automatic linking between related pieces of information regardless of their format. The concepts in a document can be linked automatically to those in another file. They can also be linked to related concepts within video or voicemail. Hyperlinks are generated in real-time at the moment a document is viewed, removing the need for any manual intervention and ensuring they are constantly up-to-date. For example, in a CRM environment, IDOL can automatically present customer service representatives with related documents and supporting information to more effectively respond to customer questions.

Interlinking

IDOL is also able to automatically insert hyperlinks directly into the document itself. This can be done to any granularity, such as a word, a phrase, or a sentence. By automatically identifying sub-areas of the document for which there are relevant links, IDOL creates a seamless delivery of related information to the user. Combined with the eduction module, which automatically identifies entities based on metadata and field attributes, interlinking removes manual labor for the content editor and enriches the user experience. As users read through documents, they can delve into or learn more about a concept by easily clicking on an automatically- generated hyperlink.
